VISA to travel to Uganda is applied online through the Immigration Portal. From the day of
approval, your VISA is valid for 90 days. Upon expiry before your arrival or overstay, you are required to apply again.
Fees
VISA of single-Entry costs 50 United States dollars only while the East Africa VISA cost 100 United States Dollars. This permits you travel to Uganda, Rwanda and Kenya only. All fees are paid in the Bank and subjected to charges.
Language
All documents are required to be submitted in English.
Documents required to apply for a VISA
- A passport, valid for at least 6 months
- A vaccination yellow fever Card
- Travel plan or Itinerary
- Some accommodation facilities that you are to stay on arrival.
After VISA application, it may take two to three working days to receive an approval letter. You are highly advised to apply at least 5 days before travel so as to avoid inconveniences.

Log into the immigration Portal
Accept the Terms and Conditions in the disclaimer Notice
Select the VISA category for which in this case is the e-tourist visa
Fill the application Form
Upload the required documents and a six-digit number will be automatically generated as your reference.
Make payments for the application as required and an approval letter will be emailed to the client.
Upon arrival, report to the migration office with your documents like payment receipts, approval letter and passport for biometric capture.
