Uganda is one of the safest Countries in Africa for tourists to travel given her history of the past years about Iddi Amin.

However, there can be minor crimes that requires travelers to take precautions. These include;

Random Political Conflicts.

As a traveler, you are advised to avoid areas where political rallies are taking place or participating in them. Some times they can be life threatening.

Pickpocketing

While in the city or urban areas, avoid walking in congested areas on your own. Phones, Wallets and jewelry may be snatched from you.

Hostile local people

Even though Uganda is safe, some times local people can be hostile to travelers who encroach in the areas of their residence without the guidance of a local person. Seek permission or inquire first before doing anything involving people.

Robbery

While at the lodges, endeavor to close your rooms or move with your valuables where necessary. Do not tempt the staff by leaving money or anything valuable at their disposal.
