Day 1 of Gorilla Safari in Rwanda
Arrival at Kigali International Airport
Your Guide will be waiting at Kigali International AirPort with a placard written your names. on arrival, you will proceed to the Hotel which is 20 minutes away.

Day 2 of Gorilla Safari in Rwanda
Drive to Akagera National Park
After breakfast, the drive to Akagera National Park resumes. It is a 2 hours’ drive from the city. Therefore an early start is recommended so that you may check in, have an early lunch and prepare for a boat cruise in the afternoon.
Boat cruise
On the way to the Jetty, exciting moments are expected as you may encounter animals like Baboons and Buffalos among others. Immediately after arriving at Lake Ihema, the boat cruise will set off. Without doubt, it is an experience to lookout for as you are to encounter animals like Elephants, Hippos, crocodiles and a variety of colorful bird species.
Sunset safari
As you come from the boat cruise with exciting moments, the fun is to continue with a sunset safari in an open jeep to search for more wildlife. With luck on your side, Rhinos, Leopards, Lions and Giraffes among others may be sighted.

Day 3 of Gorilla Safari in Rwanda
Morning safari
The day starts early as you are headed for a morning safari in search of cats before they get to their hideouts. Animals expected to be encountered are Lions, Leopards, Hyenas and others.
Drive to Volcanoes National Park
After the safari, the drive to Volcanoes National park will begin. The 4-5 hour’s drive to the Northern Province will see you traverse through the meandering, mountainous and well paved roads with scenic landscapes of the lower valleys. Rivers, Waterfalls and Tea plantations.

Day 4 of Gorilla Safari in Rwanda
Gorilla Tracking
Early in the Morning after breakfast your guide will drive you to the briefing point. You will get briefed and allocated a Gorilla group with other Tourists.
Preparation for Gorilla tracking
As you are heading out for gorilla tracking, you are advised to put on trousers, long sleeved shirts or blouse that are nature blending colors, closed shoes, gaiters, hut and gloves as your dressing code. Also carry packed lunch, water and rain gear in your backpack.
Duration for Gorilla tracking
While tracking Gorillas, the activity takes 2-5 hours depending on how far or close they are located. After finding them, you have 1 hour of viewing.
These gentle giants are closely related to humans with 95% DNA. As soon as you encounter them, you can’t hide the excitement of watching how they handle themselves like human beings!

Cultural experience
After relaxing from a Gorilla trek, you will be introduced to the Rwandese cultural experience. They have a unique and one of the richest cultures in Africa!
During the visit at Ibyiwachu village, you will interact with the local people and take you through their local lifestyle that includes traditional Dances , learning how to make banana juice, banana beer and banana gin. As well, they will introduce to you local herbs that they use to cure various diseases.

Day 5 of Gorilla Safari in Rwanda
City Tour
Genocide Memorial Museum
On arrival to Kigali, you will have lunch, then head to the Genocide Memorial museum. While at the Museum, detailed information is narrated through a recorded gadget on how it all started between the Hutu and Tutsi to an extent of a friend or neighbor murdering each other. Also the Museum holds personal remains of the deceased like clothes, Photographs, and chilling display of human remains. It is as well a final resting place for some of the victims.
After the tour, a day room will be arranged so as to prepare yourself before your flight back home.
